  • Monitoring glucose levels is important, so have your child do regular testing as a daily habit as soon as possible.
  • Cut down on stress. Stress triggers increased blood sugar levels. Encourage your child to partake in relaxation exercises daily, or take up hobbies that are meaningful as well as enjoyable.
  • Coping with diabetes is a process that takes time. Encourage your child to stay positive; diabetes is manageable!
